Australia's NAB, ISO Cuscal sign deal to create network of 3,100 ATMs
July 20, 2009
National Australia Bank Ltd. has joined Cuscal's rediATM network, creating one of the largest ATM networks in Australia.
The joint venture includes more than 3,100 ATMs, combining NAB's fleet of 1,700 ATMs with Cuscal's 1,400 rediATMs, which includes a sub-network of more than 100 participating financial institutions. The companies say they expect to brand all of the NAB-owned ATMs with the NAB logo, while all ATMs in the combined network will be branded rediATM.
Australia's recent move to approve direct charging at ATMs will benefit the deal, Cuscal says:
 | "Based on recent usage, bringing together the two networks will save each other's customers more than $10 million in ATM direct charges annually." | |
