Info Link:Increases in sophisticated ATM ram raids in and around Sydney, Australia, over the last 12 months has prompted one Aussie company to improve its ram-raid prevention technology. Leda-Vannaclip, which specializes in perimeter security solutions and traffic-control systems, has developed a new line of bollards that take longer to cut through, delaying a thief's ability to reach an ATM by more than seven minutes. Leda-Vannaclip says that while ATM anchors that tie a bollard to a particular spot are beneficial, the only proven way to stop ATM thieves is with a bollard system that considers impact-protection, footings and cutting resistance.
