Aussie co. works to end ATM ram raids in U.K., Ireland
March 27, 2007
SYDNEY, Australia - Lockit Systems Australia Pty. Ltd. has named TSATM its distributor for the United Kingdom and Ireland, according to a news release. TSATM has been charged with distributing Lockit's ATM Raminator, an anti-ram-raid system, in those markets.
Richard Gould, Lockit's director, says the partnership comes after "the scourge of ram raids" in the U.K. and Ireland.
"ATM theft affects the whole community and costs many tens of thousands of pounds for each event," he said. "Our Raminator system will wipe out opportunistic ATM theft. Once thieves realize that the ATM is no longer able to be violently removed, they will abandon the attacks."
TSATM also expects to show its own ATM Ram Raid response service and managed ATM-service solutions.
