ATMmarketplace.com, BBS host 'Remote key loading for ATMs' webinar

October 8, 2009

ATMmarketplace.com and BBS Denmark are hosting a webinar entitled "Remote key loading for ATMs: Enhancing security, unlocking efficiency," Oct. 22 at 12 p.m.

The webinar, which will be led by Michael Larsen, a product manager for BBS Denmark, will focus on the increased security and optimization benefits RKL offers ATM deployers.

Remote key loading is an automated and secure ATM key-loading process that replaces the manual key-entry procedure that still prevails at most ATMs.

Under today's more commonly used manual model, best practices have called for financial institutions to send two-person teams to the ATMs when keys must be loaded. RKL removes the human factor, allowing ATM keys to load remotely, across far distances, at any time of day.

From a security standpoint, RKL is superior, using strong cryptography to protect and distribute keys. It also enables frequent key updating, which increases overall ATM security, Larsen says.

ATMmarketplace.com editor Tracy Kitten will moderate the webinar. Attendees can register for the free event here.
