ATMIA seeks participants for global ATM security survey

October 13, 2016

The ATM Industry Association is once again conducting its annual ATMIA Global Security and Fraud survey.

In a press release, the organization encouraged all ATM deployers to take a few moments to complete the survey before Nov. 4 "to ensure your voice is heard."

The survey considers two basic types of ATM criminal attacks — physical attacks and fraud:

  • physical attacks include the use of brute force to steal the cash held inside the ATM — or the ATM itself;
  • fraud includes a wide range of methods used steal data, such as skimming and card theft, as well as malware and other technology-based methods.

All survey participants will receive a copy of the executive summary when the document is complete.

Take the survey now.
