SIOUX FALLS, Iowa — The ATM Industry Association has joined the PCI Security Standards Council's Participating Organization program.
According to a news release, participation in the program will allow ATMIA to participate in providing organized, collective industry feedback for the developing PCI ATM standard.
"PCI ATM will have major implications for the ATM industry, and we want to ensure our members are fully informed about and prepared for its introduction in 2010," said Mike Lee, ATMIA's chief executive. "Soon there will be an opportunity for members participating with us to comment on the draft standard. This is the time to be proactive and to get involved in shaping, where possible, the evolving standard."
