The ATM Industry Association has appointed a new executive director for its chapter in Europe. Ron Delnevo will assume duties officially on Monday, March 10.
"This appointment is really good news for ATMIA," said CEO Mike Lee. "I've known Ron for 13 years and his record speaks for itself. Twice elected the leader of the European board by our members, he's an industry leader who, in my view, has been one of the strongest champions of ATMs and cash in the worldwide industry over the last decade."
"I am really looking forward to working with the ATMIA team as we seek to further develop the European chapter," Delnevo said. "There are many challenges ahead for the industry but every challenge is also an opportunity and the ATMIA is ready to support its members in taking those opportunities."
Delnevo currently is chairman of the board for ATMIA Europe, and also deputy president of ATMIA. Previously, he was managing director at the U.K. IAD Bank Machine, where he worked for 13 years.
As Europe's executive director, Delnevo steps into the shoes of Flora Hamilton, who served in the position for nearly five years and recently was named assistant director at the nonprofit Confederation of British Industry.
The ATM Industry Association, founded in 1997, is a global non-profit trade association with over 10,500 members in 65 countries. The membership base covers the full range of this worldwide industry comprising over 2.2 million installed ATMs.
