January 5, 2012

ATMIA Europe has announced that its second annual forum on ATM innovation, "Cash Recirculation at ATMs," will be held in Vienna, Austria on Tuesday, Jan. 24, at the Hotel Savoyen. This one-day forum will bring together European regulatory bodies and experts on cash recirculation, along with a range of case studies from both pilot and established banking projects across Europe.

The keynote addresses will be given by Sylvain Calluaud, senior issuing expert at the European Central Bank; Victoria Cleland, head of notes division at the Bank of England; Leonor Machado, chairperson of the Cash Working Group at the European Payments Council; and Robert Chaundy, senior research analyst, Retail Banking Research.

Case study insight will be provided by bank and ATM operators from Austria, Germany, Greece and the Netherlands, including ABN AMRO, BAL, Erste Bank, KAL, Landesbank Berlin, National Bank of Greece, Steiermärkische Sparkasse and Volksbank Paderborn-Hoexter-Detmold. The program will also include insight on cash recirculation practices in China and Japan, where all ATMs have cash recirculation capabilities.

"We are delighted to be able to fit in such an extensive range of speakers and case studies to this one-day forum. We really appreciated all their generous contributions to making this Forum a true insight into Cash Recirculation at ATMs in Europe," said Flora Hamilton, executive director of ATMIA.
