ATM performance in Iran linked to banknotes

IranMania:Weak national currency is the main reason ATMs in Iran have not been functioning properly, said one banking expert, who added that dispensing higher denominations puts less strain on the ATM than dispensing lesser notes.

The number of ATMs in Iran is expected to reach 12 million by 2010.
