ATM industry to consolidate, NSA predicts

October 10, 2006

FERNDALE, Wash. - ATM service provider National Service Associates predicts an evolution in the ATM industry.

The Knoxville, Tenn.-based association in 2004 worked on 45,000 ATMs owned by financial institutions and independent sales organizations.

"The ATM industry is undergoing a consolidation," said Chuck West, NSA's chief executive. "A handful of large ATM independent service organizations are acquiring as many smaller networks as they can."
