AMCORE Bank selects NYCE for ATM, POS access

SECAUCUS, N.J. — AMCORE Bank of Rockford, Ill., has signed with the NYCE Network for PIN debit and ATM card access. NYCE Payments Network LLC is part of Metavante, a provider of banking and payments technology.
 
AMCORE Bank has $5 billion in assets, with 74 branches across Illinois and Wisconsin. According to a news release, it contributes nearly 100,000 cards and 83 bank-owned ATMs to the NYCE Network. The bank also is a member of NYCE's SUM selective ATM-surcharging program.
 
"We need a network partner that will support our expansion efforts and our commitment to our customers," said Thomas Szmanda, executive vice president of the Retail Banking Group at AMCORE. "NYCE has demonstrated its ability to deliver the payment products and services we have identified as important to the markets we serve — in ways that create tangible value for us through improved customer relationships and revenue-generating opportunities."
