FIS will provide ATM driving, EFT processing, card production, and a number of related services.

April 24, 2015

Alaska USA, a federal credit union with $5.8 billion in assets and 525,000 members, and FIS, a provider of banking and payments technology, have partnered for several strategic payment initiatives, according to a press release.

The deal includes EMV card personalization, debit card processing, ATM driving, fraud management services, and NYCE Network access for Alaska USA. At the same time, the FI is extending its current credit card processing relationship with Card Services for Credit Unions, and expanding its use of the FIS ScoreCard Rewards loyalty program, promoting card use and member satisfaction with travel and merchandise rewards, the release said.

"We focus on consistently providing our members with an exceptional service experience," said Brian E. Wolf, executive director of retail financial services at Alaska USA Federal Credit Union. "The breadth of FIS' leading-edge capabilities offered us the kind of modern payments services that our members are looking for."

"Alaska USA was looking to gain operational efficiencies," said Bruce Lowthers, executive vice president of North American retail payments at FIS. "[I]t was confident FIS could help it further serve its members — now, and as it grows over time."
