March 3, 2008

LONDON — Alaric Systems Ltd., supplier of advanced technology for the card-payments industry, has opened a base in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, to better oversee its operations in Asia-Pacific.

Headed by Peter Parke, director of regional operations for Asia-Pacific, and Paul Griffin, regional manager for Asia-Pacific, the office incorporates a software development center with a locally recruited technical and customer-service team.

Alaric says Kuala Lumpur represents the ideal location for supporting payment solutions in the region.

"The opening of our new Asia-Pacific headquarters reflects our strong focus in the region and reinforces our commitment to deliver the best possible solutions to our customers worldwide," Griffin said. "We see huge opportunities for Alaric in Asia-Pacific, and our new regional base will provide an invaluable launch pad to introduce our advanced technology solutions into this important market."

The new office follows Alaric's 2007 office opening in Melbourne, Australia ― now dedicated to the Australian and New Zealand markets.

Alaric now has a physical presence in Europe, the United States, Australia and Asia-Pacific.Alaric says its U.K. offices will continue to act as the hub for strategic design of existing and new products, as well as overall project management.
