77 percent of millennials would switch banks to get better service

July 27, 2018

Four in 10 millennials say they have switched banks due to poor service, and nearly twice as many (77 percent) say they would switch to a bank offering better service, according to new research from Humley, a creator of artificial intelligence chatbots for enterprise.

Asked how they access their bank, more than two-thirds (68 percent) of millennials said they typically use their smartphone app, while one-third third (33 percent) said they use an online web browser, a press release from Humley said.

The good news is that millennials who have consistently positive online banking experiences report being loyal (37 percent) or even very loyal (34 percent) to their current bank.

Humley surveyed 1,000 millennial-age Americans about their online banking experience and preferences.
