7-Eleven asks consumers to help it fight interchange fees
July 12, 2009
East Valley (Phoenix) Tribune: 7-Eleven is asking customers to help it fight what 7-Eleven calls unfair credit-card transaction fees. The convenience-store chain recently launched a million-signature petition campaign to ask Congress to restrict interchange fees charged whenever a customer uses a credit or debit card for a purchase. The petitions are in every 7-Eleven store. At least 150 signatures have been collected from one 7-Eleven store in Mesa.
