From coupon deals with local merchants to open-loop prepaid ventures with the likes of Visa and MasterCard and a multi-merchant myGift card offering with Discover, ATM-dispensed giftcard provider Better ATM Services has come a long way in a relatively short time.
Todd Nuttall, CEO of Better ATM Services believes that the success of his product has everything to do with the natural compatibility of stored value products and value (i.e., cash) dispensing ATMs.
At the recent ATMIA US 2013 conference, Nutall sat down with ATM Marketplace to discuss results of a study indicating a strong correlation between ATM users and giftcard buyers.
"Seventy percent of people who use ATMs are also buying prepaid products, and the vast majority of them are going somewhere else; they're not going to their credit union or bank to do so," Nutall said. "This has opened up a tremendous opportunity for them to reclaim that through their ATM."
