NCR Canada Ltd. yesterday named its first woman president.
Linda Fitzgerald, who has more than 25 years experience in the IT industry, replaces Luc Villeneuve, who was recently named president of NCR Europe.
“Canada is an important market for NCR with tremendous growth potential and a client base that includes global leaders,” said Dale Grant, NCR Corp.’s regional vice president of sales for North America. “Linda’s primary objective will be to work in partnership with businesses in the Canadian financial, retail, travel and healthcare industries to help them achieve success and growth in their businesses.”
Prior to joining NCR Canada, which is based in Mississauga, Ontario, Fitzgerald was Canadian sales manager in the Personal Systems Group for Hewlett-Packard.
Fitzgerald holds degrees in marketing and computer science from McGill University. She is a certified black belt Six Sigma practitioner and a certified facilitator.
NCR Corp., which is based in Duluth, Ga., is the world’s largest ATM manufacturer based on annual shipments.
