Europe's annual gathering of ATM industry members is at hand, and at European ATMs 2013, the industry's leading decision makers will meet to discuss the challenges, issues, innovations and opportunities that lie ahead.
With close to 500 confirmed attendees, this year's conference will incorporate for the first time ATMIA Europe's Innovation Forum. Started by ATMIA in 2011, the Innovation Forum is designed to bring together a wide range of speakers to examine innovation in one particular area of the industry. This year's theme for the Innovation Forum is Mobile and the ATM and will look at how mobile technologies are being deployed at ATMs to enhance the customer experience as well as the integration of the mobile banking and ATM channels.
Running on from the theme of mobile, the keynote presentation from Mike Lee, ATMIA CEO, will address what the future holds for cash in a mobile-digital world.
Europe's largest conference dedicated to ATMs will also cover a wide range of other key industry topics where delegates will have the opportunity to learn from the experiences of banks, independent ATM deployers, industry experts and consultants through case study presentations.
Case studies on cash recirculation at ATMs and ATM sharing will demonstrate that this remains a growing trend in the region. Cash management at the ATM is clearly one of the industry's current core challenges with a total of five presentations looking at different and new approaches to improving cash efficiencies at ATMs.
For the first time, European ATMs 2013 includes a session on accessibility at ATMs with case studies from two major European bank ATM operators.
Ensuring its continuing role of addressing the broadest range of ATM industry issues, the conference will also feature case studies on bank branch innovations, the use of ATMs for excellence in CRM, centralised ATM operations across multiple markets, software solutions for multivendor strategies and customer-focused multi-channel strategies.
Revenue and profitability take the center stage at European ATMs 2013 with a look into the role of the ATM in the profitable bank branch of the future. On the second day of the conference there is a plenary session including a pan-industry debate on the revenue models for the ATM channel. With guest panellists from Australia, Germany, Portugal and the UK, this panel debate will argue the pros and cons of interchange versus the direct charging model. Given the need for economic stability and sustainability in the ATM channel, there are likely to be strong opinions on both sides of the divide, making for a lively industry discussion.
The conference will feature a total of 42 speakers and panellists across 32 sessions with case studies from a wide range of markets across the world, including Australia, Canada, Chile, Croatia, Finland, Germany, Greece, Italy, the Netherlands, Nigeria, Serbia, South Africa, Spain, Turkey, the UK and the USA.
European ATMs 2013 takes place at the Park Plaza Riverbank Hotel in London on June 5–6. RBR and ATMIA will once again co-host this event with delegates, sponsors and exhibitors not just from Europe, but from right around the world, demonstrating the importance of this event for decision makers throughout the industry.
Industry suppliers will demonstrate the latest technology in the exhibition area, where delegates will also have the opportunity to network with their industry counterparts. This year, the exhibition area will feature more booths than ever before, making European ATMs 2013 the best place to keep up with technology trends in the ATM industry.
