A successful first annual ATM & Mobile Executive Summit wrapped on Sept. 26 in Washington, D.C., as attendees headed home with innumerable takeaways from a full slate of distinguished keynote speakers and panelists.
Representatives from U.S. regulatory agencies and the federal banking system, C-level experts from respected ATM and mobile technology and security firms, and industry specialists from other sectors were on hand to share substantive, in-depth information about the direction of mobile and ATM technologies.
Presentations covered FTC and other upcoming federal regulations, payments trends, case studies of mobile and ATM integration at major FIs, fraud concerns, friction points in mobile payments, and the implications of a federal judge's recent ruling in a Durbin Amendment-related lawsuit.
The two-day event in Washington, D.C. was jointly sponsored by the Electronic Funds Transfer Association and Networld Media Group publications ATM Marketplace and Mobile Payments Today.
Following the summit's closing remarks, Kurt Helwig, president and CEO of the EFTA, recapped the event and offered a preview of an ambitious expansion of the event in 2014. Watch the wrap-up video below:
