Landmark Credit Union, based in Wisconsin, is officially bringing back the TYME machine as a brand for its line of ATMs.
In the 1970, four banks in Milwaukee created the TYME brand, which stands for Take Your Money Everywhere, which would come to encompass 27,000 ATMs in the Midwest before the brand was retired in 2004, according to a report from the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
"We decided to pursue TYME because it was a part of the fabric of Wisconsin and was an engaging way to bring back an iconic brand while also showcasing the latest ATM technology," Brian Melter, chief experience officer, Landmark, said in the report.
Customers can use the TYME machines to withdraw money in denominations of their choice, as well as deposit money and checks. Melter said Landmark's ATMs see more than 100,000 transactions a month and about $15 million in deposits and withdrawals a month.
"There still is great usage of ATMs," Melter told the news outlet.
