Wincor ProCash family grows to include weatherized through-the-wall ATM

Wincor Nixdorf has announced the expansion of its ProCash range of robust, compact ATMs to include a new weatherized system. The ProCash 285 through-the-wall unit features a simple and intuitive design for easy cash withdrawals, the company said in a news release.

In designing the ProCash 285, Wincor engineers gave top priority to easy maintenance and high system availability. Moreover, they designed the system to meet diverse and fast-changing customer needs, the company said.

In the release, Wincor Nixdorf cited ProCash 285 features that include:

Flexible hardware and software architecture

• Rear-load system is adaptable to environmental conditions that require robust technology;
• compact, through-the-wall unit accommodates up to four cash cassettes;
• flexible hardware and software configurations, upgrades and module modifications offer a high level of customization;
• standardized interfaces allow seamless integration into existing bank networks; and
• available operating systems include Windows 7 and Windows XP Professional.

Comprehensive security suite

• Provides effective prevention against system tampering such as skimming or cash trapping; and
• allows integration of biometric sensors and cameras into the system to identify users.

"On the one hand, bank clients in Asia Pacific expect user-friendly, secure and fast ATM service without having to enter a branch," said Alvin Ng, vice president of banking at Wincor Nixdorf. "On the other hand, it is important for financial institutions to operate easily serviceable machines with high system availability. The ProCash 285 was designed exactly to meet these needs."
