Wincor Nixdorf wins bank redesign contract

September 23, 2010

Wincor Nixdorf AG has signed a contract to redesign the headquarters of Sparkasse Bielefeld Bank in Bieleselv, Germany, but the agreement does not involve the immediate deployment of ATMs, said Ulrich Nolte, a Wincor Nixdorf spokesperson.

“The purpose of the redesign is to make the headquarters more customer friendly and more efficient,” Nolte said.

Work on the site will begin later this year with completion scheduled for December 2011. Win@Branch, a Wincor Nixdorf portfolio business founded five years ago, won the contract, which is its largest so far, Nolte said. He declined to disclose the amount of the agreement.

The contract may involve deployment of ATMs at some later date, Nolte said.

Wincor Nixdorf, which is based in Paderborn, Germany, is the world’s second-largest manufacturer of ATMs based on annual shipments.
