PADERBORN, Germany - Wincor Nixdorf International has enhanced its software emulation for connecting self-service and host systems to support the worldwide trend toward check and cash deposit solutions, according to a Sept. 7 news release.
The company is offering enhancements for check processing and cash recycling in the NCR Corp. and Diebold Inc. quasi-communications standard (NDC/D91x). The transfer protocols used between cash machines and host systems are essential components of multivendor networks and are dominated mainly by quasi-standards from some manufacturers.
The protocol enhancement specifications have already been released and provided to a large number of host providers, and Wincor also is providing these specifications on demand to independent software providers and other manufacturers.
