Wincor Nixdorf to unite financial, retail development areas

April 18, 2013

As an element of its structural reorganization, Wincor Nixdorf has announced that it will consolidate its previously separate banking and retail development areas.

The newly combined division will be led by Dr. Thorsten Nottebaum. He will take on the role of head of development at Wincor Nixdorf, IT specialist for retail banks and retailers, on June 1, 2013.

By merging its expertise in the financial and retail industries, Wincor Nixdorf hopes to create synergies in research and development as the company seeks to standardize and modularize its portfolio.

In particular, the company said it will focus on the development of convergent platform technologies and software solutions that can optimize end-to-end process chains in bank branches and retail stores.

Nottebaum is familiar with the reorganization of global processes and the expansion of internal and external development networks, Wincor said. Most recently, he headed the development department for Northern and Southern Europe of automotive supplier Faurecia Innenraum Systeme.
