Wincor Nixdorf renews self-service tech at Commerzbank
April 22, 2010
By the end of 2010, Wincor Nixdorf AG says it expects to install 770 self-service transaction terminals and replace around 800 ATMs in branches owned by Commerzbank, one of the leading German banks for private and corporate customers.
According to a news release from Wincor Nixdorf, in addition to installing the systems, Wincor Nixdorf also will provide the bank with IT services for most of the systems' lifecycles —from rollout management to maintenance and repair services.
"Over the course of the tender, Wincor Nixdorf convinced us of the advantages of its solution, which apply over the whole product lifecycle. The functionality and flexibility of the systems is particularly noteworthy," said Joachim Butterweck, who heads up payment transactions at Commerzbank AG.
Around 600 of the 1,600 systems had been installed at end of March.
