MOSCOW and PADERBORN, Germany - Wincor Nixdorf, which counts 350 of Russia's 1,300 banks among its customers, has opened its own office in Moscow. With an initial staff of six, the office will help respond to country-specific requirements of partners and customers more quickly and precisely.
The company's business model of offering products, services and solutions via chosen partners in Russia is to continue unchanged, according to a news release.
Since 1997, two local companies, Delta Systems and Systema, have served as sales and service partners of Wincor Nixdorf. The two companies were joined by Inpas earlier this year.
"This move is an expression of our commitment to the major growth market of Russia," said Karl-Heinz-Stiller, president and CEO of Wincor Nixdorf AG, at the official opening ceremony. "In addressing international markets, proximity to our customers is of key significance."
According to the release, Wincor Nixdorf sells a broad range of products in Russia, comprising not just ATMs but also cash-in solutions, transaction terminals, self-service printers and total solutions for branch layouts. The new office will facilitate business expansion in monitoring and services, consulting and software solutions.
