Wincor Nixdorf inks U.S. casino ATM deal

ATM manufacturer and IT solutions provider Wincor Nixdorf Inc. today announced that it has finalized an agreement with Global Cash Access Inc. to provide additional cash dispensing ATMs for GCA's deployment in U.S. casinos.

Under the agreement, Wincor Nixdorf will provide GCA with 45 ProCash 1500xe cash dispensing ATMs, increasing GCA's installed base of Wincor Nixdorf ATMs to approximately 900.

"An ATM within a casino will easily perform 15 to 20 percent more transactions per day and dispense many times more notes than the same ATM in a retail bank setting," said Alan Walsh, executive vice president of Wincor Nixdorf's U.S. banking division. "We have provided cash dispensing solutions to GCA and its customers for several years now, largely because our robust ATM technology performs well within the high transaction volume setting of the gaming industry."

Wincor Nixdorf's 1500 series ATM is a compact system in Wincor Nixdorf's ProCash product family.
