Aisino Corp., a Chinese IT company specializing in information security, has established a joint venture with Wincor Nixdorf AG to develop, produce and market IT solutions for banking and retail companies in China.
According to a press release, the JV is positioned to tap China's sizeable banking business with solutions that meet the country's banking regulations.
Operating as Aisino Wincor, the JV will offer hardware, software and services for Chinese FIs and merchants. Banking solutions include ATMs and cash recycling systems, as well as the software to drive these systems.
The JV also will offer end-to-end services — ranging from deployment and project management to lifecycle maintenance — to help banks manage their self-service networks.
"Thanks to the partnership with Aisino, we will improve our position in this strategically important market," said Wincor Nixdorf President and CEO Eckard Heidloff. "We will also be able to help Chinese banks and retailers to become more efficient and profitable by offering them innovative solutions."
The joint venture is to be based in Shanghai and will commence operations after receiving required government approvals. Aisino holds a majority interest of 51 percent in the joint venture.
