AUSTIN, Texas -- ATM solutions provider Wincor Nixdorf Inc. has joined the Interactive Financial eXchange Forum (IFX), an organization dedicated to creating a high-powered XML business-to-business framework for financial institutions worldwide.
Wincor Nixdorf will work in the forum's ATM/POS Working Group. The group plans to create IFX messaging for ATM and POS support for a variety of devices, including security and banking services.
According to a company press release, Wincor Nixdorf had worked with vendors on the development of XML standards for Web-enabled terminals. The company is one of the first ATM manufacturers to join the IFX Forum.
"Through our involvement in the IFX Forum, Wincor Nixdorf will play an active part in establishing vendor neutral, multi-channel delivery strategies," Bill Waugh, president of Wincor Nixdorf subsidiary Wincor AutoTell, said in a news release.
