A study by London-based RBR finds that Wincor Nixdorf has moved up the ranks of self-service providers — from No. 4 in 2011 to No. 2 in 2012 — in terms of total cash machines installed throughout the Asia Pacific region.
A news release from Wincor said the company offers a comprehensive service portfolio to FIs in virtually all countries in the region, as well as a hardware portfolio aligned to local market requirements that can range from monofunction cash dispensers to multifunction cash-recycling solutions.
Karsten Kemna, Wincor regional VP of banking for the Asia Pacific region, said that customers are increasingly using multiple channels to bank and transact, and the self-service channel is an important touchpoint where FIs can serve evolving customer needs.
"Our improved market position demonstrates that banks in Asia Pacific have confidence in the reliability of the technology, developed according to German design principles," Kemna said.
Rounding out the top four self-service providers in Asia Pacific are:
RBR forecasts a compound annual growth rate of approximately 10 percent for the region through 2018.
