WesTech intros check fraud detection featuring Parascript

The solution identifies counterfeit checks, finds CAR-LAR mismatches and protects against signature forgeries, the company says.

WesTech eSolutions Inc., a provider of data extraction software, has rolled out its new eFraud Solution, which leverages several Parascript Fraud Prevention products to detect potentially fraudulent checks.

According to a press release, Parascript provides simple, efficient SDK products that Westech combines to create a more expansive customer-focused solution.

“Most of our mid-size customers require fairly complex solutions that require us to use advanced functionality available through Parascript technology,” said Bill West, vice president of WesTech. “The customization flexibility of the product makes providing an advanced eFraud Solution not only possible, but quick and easy to implement.”

The new WesTech eFraud solution identifies counterfeit checks, finds discrepancies on a check between the courtesy and the legal amount (i.e., CAR-LAR mismatch) and protects against signature forgeries.

The company caters especially to tne needs of credit unions and other midmarket clients, the release said.
