Welch ATM to bring ATM convenience to Rite Aid customers

May 20, 2013

Welch ATM has formally announced its agreement with Rite Aid Corp. to provide ATMs at more than 2,900 Rite Aid stores across the United States. Rite Aid ranks at 113 in the Fortune 500, with $26 billion in annual revenues, and is the third largest retail drugstore chain in the nation.

"Welch ATM works hard to offer products and services that will increase the success of our retail and financial institution partners," said Adam Hobelmann, vice president of sales and business development at Welch ATM. "While these ATMs will offer greater convenience to Rite Aid customers, they will also introduce another popular retail location with marketing and brand-building potential for financial institutions."

Welch ATM President and CEO Jeff Hewitt said that a number of FIs have expressed interest in branding partnerships for the Rite Aid ATMs. "Our team is hard at work getting the word out about this great opportunity and we are already working with a number of banks and credit unions on branding partnerships for quite a few locations," he said

Headquartered in Peoria, Ill., Welch ATM manages a network of more than 20,000 ATMs nationwide. The company numbers among the IADs that have won the "Best Practice ATM Deployer" award from the ATM Industry Association.
