MOSINEE, Wisc. - Wausau Financial Systems announced in a news release that Eastman Kodak Co. has chosen WFS as its software technology partner for Kodak's expanded imaging solutions portfolio. Kodak's new offering has been designed to enable banks, businesses, and federal, state and local government offices to process checks more efficiently. WFS' point-of-presentment technology enables accelerated clearance and payment processing - capitalizing on the benefits of Check 21. The new and fully-integrated solution allows an organization to convert paper checks to digital images at the point of check-presentment, effectively clearing checks in hours instead of days. "Wausau Financial Systems is a proven industry leader in point of presentment technology," said Andy Lawrence, solutions business manager for Kodak's Graphic Communications Group, document imaging business. "They offer expertise and a breadth of knowledge in the remote capture arena that sets them apart from other vendors."
