Walmart, Green Dot good to go for 5 more years

Green Dot Corp. and Green Dot Bank will continue to serve as issuer and program manager for Walmart MoneyCard reloadable debit card products.

Walmart has agreed to a new long-term contract with Green Dot Corp., according to a press release from the prepaid card provider.

Under the new agreement, Green Dot Corp. and Green Dot Bank will continue to serve as program manager and issuing bank for the Walmart MoneyCard suite of prepaid reloadable debit card products.

The new agreement has an effective start date of May 1, and replaces the current agreement which would have expired at the end of this year, the release said

Founder, Chairman and CEO Steve Streit.
