VSoft Corp. adopts Epson check scanner, receipt printer

LONG BEACH, Calif. — Epson and VSoft Corp. has interfaced Epson's TM-J9000 check scanner and receipt printer with VSoft's Agile Branch—Teller solution.
According to a news release, the TM-J9000 is the only integrated teller device that provides check and ID scanning, as well as validation and receipt printing within a single footprint. Using the Epson TM-J9000 with VSoft's Agile Branch—Teller enables tellers to print receipts and scan and proof deposits while consumers wait in the branch, minimizing deposit errors and eliminating later adjustments to customer accounts.
"Total check processing time is significantly reduced, speeding transactions and teller lines, resulting in improved customer service for the bank," said Bud Weist, vice president of sales and marketing for Epson System Device Group.
VSoft worked closely with Epson to integrate the TM-J9000 scanner into the Agile Branch—Teller solution.

• ProofPlusTM ID Scanning — The TM-J9000 enables banks to digitally capture account-holder identification at the teller window
• A small footprint of 8.9 inches by 8.7 inches
• High-speed scanning of up to 30 checks per minute
