VocaLink, a United Kingdom-based international-payments provider, has become the second regional sponsor signed this month by ATMIA Europe, which is based in London.
"As the company responsible for providing the infrastructure for the LINK ATM network and switching over 3.2 billion card transactions every year, we have had a close partnership with VocaLink since the establishment of ATMIA here in Europe in 2000," said Flora Hamilton, executive director of ATMIA Europe. "We are extremely pleased to develop our relationship with VocaLink further through a European regional sponsorship."
Dave Conkleton, managing director of Card Services at VocaLink, said the company is focused on delivering further innovation and growth across the ATM industry.
"With our experience and commitment to the ATM channel we are confident that together we can bring substantial benefits to the ATMIA industry and its user members across Europe," Conkleton said. VocaLink's switching platform connects more than 60,000 ATMs.
On April 1, ATMIA signed Oberthur Cash Protection as the association's first regional sponsor. Oberthur is a French-based industrial company that specializes in the design and manufacture of intelligent solutions for securing ATMs.
The ATM Industry Association, founded in 1997, is a global non-profit trade association with over 10,500 members in 65 countries. The membership base covers the full range of this worldwide industry comprising over 2.2 million installed ATMs.
