Vita Lansworth, an entity of Lansworth Enterprise Solutions and reseller/distributor of cash recyclers, recently installed eight CIMA Cash Handling America cash recyclers at the Wayne County Treasurer's Office in Detroit, Michigan. With these recyclers, the office can settle down to the dollar, according to a press release.
The recyclers come with a diverter function to reject imperfect bank notes to a separate bin so that these notes are not given out as change to the customers. The office chose in particular seven AST7016 models and one AST70000-N75.
The machines run on CashWare cash automation software from AviaTech, according to the release.
Since deploying the machines, the office has had a decrease in overtime expense over not having to handle diverted notes.
"The machines function great, and have not disappointed WCTO, plus our cashiers enjoy using them," Carl Stafford, interim deputy treasurer, financial services, Office of Wayne County Treasurer, said in the release. "It is very rare that anything goes wrong with the CashWare software. Complex customization to software was necessary, and it works well for our operation."
