Vantiv to close Kentucky call center

Vantiv, a provider of payment processing services and related technology products, has filed notice with the state of Kentucky that it will close its Louisville call center by the end of March.

The closure will result in the layoff of the call center's 200 full-time employees, according to a report by Louisville Business First.

Earlier this month, Cincinnatti, Ohio-based Vantiv announced an agreement to purchase the U.S. operations of Moneris, a Canada-based payment processor. That deal is expected to close by the end of the year.
