NORTH CANTON, Ohio -- U.S. Bank has installed the first live unit of Diebold's (NYSE: DBD) first new ATM model in 15 years, which the manufacturer introduced in mid-March.
According to a news release, U.S. Bank installed an Opteva 760, an advanced-function, through-the-wall ATM, at its Columbia Center facility in Portland, Ore., on March 12. Approximately 1,500 U.S. Bank employees work at Columbia Center, including ATM technical development staff -- many of whom will provide feedback to Diebold after using the Opteva ATM.
The Opteva has a Universal Serial Bus (USB) 2.0 open architecture and is loaded with Diebold's new open-standard Agilis software.
"Integration of the Opteva terminal was seamless because Agilis 91x supports our existing states and screens, allowing us to get up and running quickly," said Dominic Venturo, U.S. Bank's senior vice president, product management and strategy, in the release.
According to Danny O'Brien, Diebold's senior vice president, Global Product Management and Engineering, U.S. Bank certified the Opteva on its processing platform, which is based on ACI's BASE24 software.
"Because of Diebold's experience and close relationship with ACI Worldwide, Diebold has been able to deliver a prepackaged solution that seamlessly integrates into existing networks," O'Brien said in the release.
As a global technology leader and innovative services provider, Diebold Nixdorf delivers the solutions that enable financial institutions to improve efficiencies, protect assets and better serve consumers.
