Union Bank of India will deploy 2,500 ATMs before March 2012, increasing its number of outlets to 5,000, according to CNN-IBN Live.
Lalit Sinha, general manager, Alternate Channels and New Initiative Department, Union Bank of India, told reporters yesterday during a press conference that 50 percent of transactions in 2010-11 were conducted electronically, up from 35 percent two years ago. He said the deployment will increase that number to 60 percent.
