NORTH CANTON, Ohio -- Diebold United Kingdom today has secured a deal with Derbyshire Building Society to supply 24 advanced-function, through-the-wall Opteva 760 units and an
Opteva 520 lobby machine.

John Gaunt, director of Information Technology for the Derbyshire said in a news release, "Diebold was able to offer a comprehensive implementation program, which working with our technical team, will see the whole of our ATM estate replaced or upgraded before the end of November this year.

The units will operate on Diebold's Agilis software platform, the manufacturer's open, multi-vendor system. According to the release, it is fully backward compatible with existing host environments and supports adding advanced-function transactions and enhanced features.

The Opteva family includes a through-the-wall, walk-up ATM and a lobby ATM, both with advanced functionality, and a through-the-wall and lobby cash dispenser.

As part of the agreement, Diebold will also be responsible for upgrading a number of lobby and remote cash dispenser units.
