Manchester Evening News: Lancashire ATM operator Cardpoint expects to spread across Europe.
The company, which operates more than 2,000 fee-charging ATMs in the United Kingdom, already has a presence in Germany, where it plans to be operating 150 ATMs by September. It expects also to move into Spain, Italy and Poland.
Cardpoint began its growth a year ago when it bought 800 ATMs from UK banking group HBOS. But its growth lags behind Houston-based Cardtronics Inc., which became the largest ATM operator in the world last month, when it acquired UK-based Bank Machine Ltd.
