UBA to deploy 450 Wincor Nixdorf CINEO ATMs

United bank for Africa PLC and Computer Warehouse Group PLC, a Pan-African systems integration company, have signed an agreement for the deployment of more than 450 units of Wincor Nixdorf CINEO series ATMs in Nigeria.

The CINEO series, though mono-functional, can be upgraded to cash recycling systems. The machines are improved versions of the earlier ProCash series. They'll be deployed and supported by CWG’s certified engineers trained at the Wincor Nixdorf operations center in Paderborn, Germany. 

UBA took advantage of the advanced features and engineering of the Wincor CINEO ATMs to increase their competitive edge in the rapidly growing ATM market, the bank said in a news release.

The British Retail Banking Research Group estimates that there are about 11,000 ATMs in Nigeria today — about 50 percent of them Wincor Nixdorf models. CWG has deployed and is supporting about 3,500 of the country's 5,500 Wincor Nixdorf ATMs.
