TrustBank chooses INvolve Distributed Client

March 21, 2006

RALEIGH, N.C. - Olney, Ill.-based TrustBank ($150 million in assets), a wholly owned subsidiary of Rich Land Bancorp Inc. announced in a news release the successful launch of Nexus Software Inc.'s Distributed Client version of its INvolve middleware.

Nexus provides multi-channel client middleware, and INvolve Distributed Client works in conjunction with Harland Financial Solutions' Phoenix System Core Banking Solution, which TrustBank uses for core and teller functions.

Instead of choosing between a server-based or client-based approach to bank hardware and software management, TrustBank implemented INvolve Distributed Client in order to support any combination of fat, slim and/or thin client configurations deployed in a Windows or Linux environment.

"We continue to redefine bank automation and customer convenience through the use of technology from partners such as Nexus Software," said TrustBank's Jason Kern. "Since implementing INvolve Distributed Client in October 2005, we have seen marked improvement in the deployment of work-station updates."

Nexus Software's "Zero Touch" administration model centralizes client configuration, software updates and other administrative activities under the Nexus Enterprise Configuration Utility, which eliminates teller station visits for routine set up, configuration and updates.

"The industry preference pendulum between centralized control and teller station functionality has swung back and forth for decades - now banks can approach branch automation systems without compromise when using a distributed client solution," said Nexus' Robert Usner. "INvolve Distributed Client brings a new level of investment protection and solutions evolution capability to branch and multichannel solutions."
