Brian Kett, Triton's president, said that Triton had completed a successful beta test of the RL5000 with several financial institutions and retailers.
"The RL5000 provides our financial and retail customers with a flexible, cost-efficient alternative to more expensive ATMs by incorporating advanced functionality and value-added services with the low cost of ownership that Triton ATMs are recognized for throughout the industry," Kett said in a news release.
Kett said that the RL5000's standards-based Windows platform will make it easy to add cost-saving features like TCP/IP-based network communications, as well as revenue-generating products like the recently-announced first release of Triton Waves, which includes Western
Union Money Transfers, PaySpot prepaid wireless top-ups, and CashWorks check cashing.
