Triton Systems has introduced Connect 6.0, the newest version of the company's remote monitoring software for ATMs, with a key update that enables virtually unlimited database size, the company announced on its blog, ATMAtom. The switch to SQL eliminates the need to continually archive journal data, Triton said.
For operators without an SQL license, the Triton Connect 6.0 installer includes SQL Express, with a database size limit of 10GB. The express version allows less frequent archiving so that the user can have one large journal, rather than many small ones. SQL also offers industry standard database management tools, the company said.

The Triton blog advised that the company will no longer develop additional functionality for previous versions of Triton Connect, so users must update to version 6.0 to take advantage of the new features.
