Travelex to offer Cambodian currency

Travelex, a foreign exchange company, partnered with the National Bank of Cambodia to provide the country's currency: the Khmer Riel, at the Changi Airport in Singapore, according to a press release.

Travelex provides both ATMs and stores to allow customers to purchase and sell currency. For Riel, customers can exchange it for a variety of currencies such as the Singaporean Dollar, U.S. dollar, Euro and Yen.

"We're delighted to be supporting Cambodia's national currency and wider economy by enabling the exchange of Riels at Changi Airport," Dragon Wang, commercial director at Travelex Asia, said in the release. "Providing Riel at Changi will, first and foremost, afford travelers travelling both to and from Cambodia greater convenience in exchanging Riel than ever before. We are also really proud to be playing our part in Cambodia's journey in raising the Riel's impact and availability."
