Tranax offers TDES upgrade kits for all Mini-Bank ATMs

July 2, 2003

FREMONT, Calif. -- Tranax Technologies says that Triple DES/ EPP (Encrypted Pin Pad) field upgrade kits are now available for all of its Mini-Bank ATMs.

According to a news release, upgrade kits will be made available to all Authorized Tranax Distributors and Certified ASPs (Authorized Service Providers). Installation instructions will be downloadable from the Tranax Web site; hard copies can be purchased.

While the cost and technical requirements of each kit will vary based upon the ATM model, each upgrade kit has been designed to require minimal technical expertise at an affordable cost, according to the release.

Tranax began shipping new Triple DES compliant ATMs, including EPPs, in March.

Since the first notification of these new TDES and EPP requirements, Tranax has been dedicated to providing an effective and affordable solution that would not require extensive technical knowledge.  Having achieved this, Tranax has provided its distribution and service channels with the ability to complete all upgrades before the April 1, 2005 deadline.
