FREMONT, Calif. - Tranax Technologies, Inc., says it has received a number of ATM network processor certifications for its MBS5000 Series of ATMs, which is designed to meet the specific needs of financial institutions.
According to a news release, the certifications include Fifth Third Processing Solutions, Metavante, Jack Henry & Associates, Fiserv Bowling Green, Genpass, Intrieve, Shazam ITS, and Core Data.
The MBS5000 offers the flexibility of connectivity via dial-up or TCP/IP communications, emulates various message formats including NCR's NDC, and provides plug compatibility. Additionally, the MBS5000 is UL 291 Level 1 listed and delivers essential banking functionality for half the cost of ownership of comparable banking ATMs, according to the release.
"With bank ATM transactions decreasing by 50 percent over the past 10 years, price and cost-justification have become important factors in the purchase of new ATMs," said Mike Boyd, president of Tranax distributor Tech Systems. "The Tranax MBS5000 stands up to the competition and is the best-priced ATM for financial institutions that want to optimize their ATM investment."
Tranax is pursuing additional certifications with other transaction processors.
