TNS Smart Network reports ATM growth in Canada

Finextra: TNS Smart Network Inc., Canada's largest privately owned processor, continues to experience growth in its deployment of "white label" ATMs in Canada. TNS saw a 20 percent increase from the first quarter of 2005 to the first quarter of 2006 in ATMs deployed on its network. Since 1997, 1,000 new ATMs on average have been added annually to the network. TNS now expects that number to more than triple. TNS maintains a volume of ATMs equivalent to 50 percent of all the ATMs deployed by financial institutions in Canada combined.
